27 May 2026 - Boots has launched Boost by Boots, its newest healthy on-the-go food range, designed to offer nutritionally balanced options at lunchtime. The new range of 15 products includes sandwiches, salads and sushi, all of which are available as part of the Boots meal deal range.
The launch comes as Boots Online Doctor research of 1,000 GLP-1 users shows the challenges of meeting dietary needs on the go.1 Seven in 10 (70%) GLP-1 users say they are purchasing food on the go at least twice a week, with high protein (49%) and lower calorie (38%) options being key considerations when choosing what to eat.
Additionally, half of respondents say they struggle to know what to eat when out and about while almost three-quarters (73%) wish it was easier to understand what is healthy and what isn’t. Over 8 in 10 (83%) claimed they’d be more likely to buy on-the-go food if it was a healthy option, clearly designed to keep them feeling fuller for longer.
The Boost by Boots range has been expertly crafted with support from our in-house nutrition team to offer a range of protein and fibre focused options, alongside controlled calories, fat, saturated fat, and salt.
The new Boost by Boots range include: Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Butter Chicken Wrap, Halloumi & Falafel Wrap, Hot Korean Chicken Flatbread, Onion Bhaji & Pickled Beetroot Sandwich, Feta & Beetroot Homous Salad, Bang Bang Chicken Salad, Green Goddess Chicken Salad, Egg Shakshuka Rainbow Salad, Fish Sushi, Teriyaki & Sweet Chilli Chicken Sushi, Tuna Sushi, Chicken Sushi, Sweet Chilli Prawn Dragon Rolls & Teriyaki Chicken Dragon Roles.
Boots Nutritionist Vicky Pennington said: “The Boost range adds to our growing range of healthy meal deal products at Boots. All products are a source of or high in protein or fibre making them a great option for the growing number of GLP-1 users, including our Boots Online Doctor weight loss patients. All our own brand meal deal products are developed within a nutritional framework that limits calories, fat, sugar, and salt content in line with government and industry targets.”
Vicky also shares her key tips for ensuring a balanced and nutrient-rich diet, for anyone looking to reinforce healthy dietary habits or on a weight loss journey.
-
Always incorporate protein and fibre into your meals
“Prioritise lean meat, fish or plant-based options. Higher protein intake helps to stave off hunger signals while you're dieting and helps to reduce muscle loss, so achieving the ideal protein intake for fat loss makes losing weight more sustainable.
“Fibre-rich food can also help you feel less hungry between meals, research has found. This can make it easier to eat smaller portions and avoid snacking.”
-
Cut down on food high in saturated fat, sugar and salt
“Try to eat foods that contain unsaturated fats such as vegetable oils and spreads, oily fish and avocados rather than saturated fats such as fatty cuts of meat, butter, cream and pies. You should also cut down on sugary food and drinks and aim to eat no more than 6g of salt per day.”
-
Eat regular meals
“Eating at regular times throughout the day supports your energy levels and may help you resist any temptations to snack. Aim to get into a consistent routine and definitely don’t skip out on breakfast – it’s a time to fill up on essential nutrients that can set you up well for the day.”
-
Stay hydrated
“A balanced diet isn’t just about food, it’s about what you drink as well. Sometimes hunger is confused with thirst, and your body simply needs a glass of water rather than a snack. Aim to drink 6-8 glasses of fluid a day including water and sugar-free drinks such as tea or coffee if desired. Infusing your water with lemon or mint can help if the taste of plain water isn’t for you.”
