Caring for healthier communities

Caring for our communities, our customers, patients, and team members is at the heart of who we are and what we do.

Community pharmacy has an ever-increasing role to play in improving societal health and wellbeing. Through the combination of pharmacy, opticians, hearing care and consumer healthcare, Boots provides quality healthcare directly to local communities on their high street. We are committed to ensuring everyone in the UK has access to the healthcare they deserve.

We support three strategic charity partners

Macmillan Cancer Support

The Hygiene Bank

The Prince's Trust

Making an impact on local communities

Supporting survivors of domestic abuse

Boots pharmacies are part of the government Ask for ANI scheme, ANI being an acronym for ‘Action Needed Immediately’. Where someone needs immediate, emergency assistance, ‘asking for ANI’ discreetly tells our pharmacy staff that they need their help to call the police, a domestic abuse helpline or for example a family member.

Our pharmacies also provide Safe Spaces whereby people experiencing domestic abuse can use a Boots pharmacy consultation rooms to contact specialist domestic abuse services for support and advice.

Boots Charitable Trust

Established in 1970, Boots Charitable Trust is an independent registered charity in the UK, wholly funded by Boots UK. The Trust funds registered charities and small voluntary organisations benefiting people who live in Nottinghamshire.

Nutrition and healthier living

We believe that Boots has a role to play in helping everyone look after their health and wellbeing. Our range of food, drink and snack products has been chosen to help customers make positive choices and lead healthier lives, and all Boots branded food products are developed to high nutritional standards.

We have chosen not to display sweets and chocolates at our till points ever since 2016 and continue to follow the 2022 legislation in England to keep foods high in fat, salt and sugar away from our tills, queueing areas, store entrance and end of aisles.

Stock donations

Where possible, Boots aims to support local charities with donations of products to use for fundraising, for example toiletries that can be used as tombola or raffle prizes.

To request a donation of stock to fundraise for your charity, please complete the Donation Request Form: Request a donation from Boots (office.com) and a member of the team will get in touch.
