Boots, the UK’s favourite beauty retailer¹, will open its second Beauty-only concept store in Bristol this spring, bringing its most innovative beauty retail experience outside of London for the first time. The new store will become a major beauty destination for customers across the South West and Wales, offering an elevated and experiential way to discover the latest in beauty.

The 11,000 sq ft Boots Beauty store will open in the centre of the Bristol Shopping Quarter at the Cabot Circus Shopping Centre and will showcase more than 200 well known and emerging brands across skincare, haircare, fragrance, cosmetics, premium beauty and electrical beauty. Leading brands will include, Kylie Cosmetics, One/Size, Wonderskin and SheGlam as well as introducing customers to new brands never seen before at Boots, including several UK high street exclusive ranges. The store will also feature a dedicated space to explore a new selection of niche and independent fragrances.

In response to the growing demand for South Korean beauty, the store features one of the largest K-Beauty ranges, offering brands including Beauty and Joseon and Dr Reju-All. Alongside this, it includes a curated range of premium beauty minis and a regularly refreshed “Trending on Social” edit bringing the latest viral products to customers at speed and designed to inspire trial and discovery.

Recognising the growing convergence between beauty and wellbeing, Boots Beauty in Bristol will include a new Wellness Zone, bringing together inside-out beauty and wellness products such as collagen and supplements from Boots Brands, Habi and Modern Chemistry, into one easy-to-shop space.

The store will offer free beauty services, including skin scans, and personalised expert wellness advice delivered by Boots’ specialist team to give customers personalised guidance tailored to their needs. To support this, the new store will create 30 specialist roles, including derm-trained pharmacists and specialists for both beauty and wellness, reinforcing Boots’ commitment to elevate expertise and service on the high street.

Paul Niezawitowski, Beauty Director at Boots, said: “Boots is the unrivalled home of beauty in the UK, and this new store gives us the perfect stage to showcase the best of Boots in one of the country’s most vibrant and creative cities. We hear a lot from customers that they want immersive shopping experiences, expert guidance and inspiration, and with price points from 50p to £500, our next Beauty-only concept store certainly delivers on that and more. We’re delighted to bring to life this next exciting step in our beauty transformation.”

Shelley Taylor, Senior Asset Manager at Hammerson, added: “We’re proud to be partnering on the launch of Boots Beauty which has hand-picked Cabot Circus to kick off their national growth plans. Beauty and wellbeing is in high demand with our customers and this exciting new store format by Boots will offer never-seen-before products in the South West. With brands continuing to expand with us, it’s clear that Cabot Circus is the first choice for the newest, most exciting and relevant line-up for customers.”

The launch forms a key part of Boots accelerated beauty transformation programme, which is reshaping how customers discover beauty across its estate. The Bristol store brings together learnings from recent successful store concepts, including the first Boots Beauty store which opened in Battersea Power Station in 2023, the Boots Fragrance Boutique and newly elevated wellness formats in six stores nationwide. It also supports the company’s wider investment in transforming its store estate and elevating the customer experience for health, beauty and wellness nationwide. Boots now offers over 500 beauty brands across stores and online, with almost 60 new and trending names added last year. More than 180 beauty halls have already been revamped to improve layout, navigation and product discovery, making for an ever more immersive and enjoyable beauty shopping experience for customers.
