  • To meet the demand, Boots is responding to its customers needs by teaming up with OPI to offer 40 of their most iconic colours
  • Colour trends predicted to be big this Spring include modern neutrals, pops of colour and mindful pales

As customers turn to colour to inject some positivity into their lives, sales of nail products have soared on by 224% year on year*. In response to popular demand, Boors, the UK’s leading beauty retailer, is excited to announce it will now be stocking 40 Nail Lacquer shades from expert nail brand OPI. The Nail Lacquer range will land on this week -  just in time for OPI’s 40th Birthday.

Whilst customers wait patiently for salons to re-open, DIY nails have never been more popular.  Helping you to get creative from the comfort of your own home, Boots UK and OPI have identified the hottest nail trends to drop this Spring.

Colours expected to be big include modern neutrals like beige tones, unbleached creams and light pink camel tones which are likely to transition into the summer too. Pales will become the new pastels this season as we see a shift towards colour that offers a sense of calm, comfort and balance. As a form of escapism, pops of colour will return, with colours such as mango sorbet and mellow yellow set to trend.

For those looking for inspiration on how to mix things up in the manicure department, styles expected to emerge this Spring include the skittle manicure, micro-french tips and looks with negative space.

OPI’s Educator, Belinda Price, shares her inspiration for this year’s nail trends:

“Get creative by dressing up naked nails with two contrasting stripes or abstract colour squares to create a simple yet eye catching effect.”

“Step away from the white tips and add a pop of colour to your French manicure to shake things up this Spring.”

“Committing to one nail colour is a tough decision. Ignore the rulebook and choose different nail shades from the same colour family!

Alice Rafferty, Premium Beauty Senior Buying Manager, Boots UK said: We know beauty makes us feel good and what better pick-me-up than seeing a pop of colour on your nails! Renowned for their professional status, we’re excited to be extending our OPI offering to the ever-growing Boots beauty portfolio so that customers can get creative with their nails at home.”
