With further regions of the UK entering Tier 4 following the recent government announcement, prevention and protection are at the top of our priority list when we think of our health. It is important to ensure we are doing everything we can to support our immunity as we battle through the coldest months of the year.

Here at Boots, we have a selection of healthcare products available both online and in-store* that will help and support you this winter.

Below are some top tips from our expert healthcare team to help keep you safe and supported as we welcome in 2021:

Keep a face mask with you at all times when out and about. Our handy Boots Personal Protection Kits contain three Type II disposable face masks. Make sure your mask covers your nose when wearing, and safely dispose after use
Remember to up your vitamin D levels– the government recommends we take a daily supplement containing 10mcg of vitamin D between October and March, with some groups advised to take it all year round
Clean hands help to keep viruses at bay – washing your hands regularly is really important. When on the go, clean your hands with hand sanitiser or foam for at least 20 seconds

Vitamin C helps to support a healthy immune system - adults aged between 19 and 64 need 40mg of vitamin C every day.

*Boots stores remain open in all tiers. Customers can also shop online and have orders delivered to home

Boots Dual Defence Nasal Spray, £5.99contains clinically proven Carragelose® to help shorten the duration and severity of cold and flu-like symptoms. When sprayed into the nose the active ingredient Carragelose® acts like nasal mucus to help trap foreign particles such as common cold causing viruses.
