Collecting outpatient medicines from The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (RBCH) will soon be easier and quicker for patients thanks to a new partnership with Boots UK.

A new outpatient pharmacy managed by Boots UK is set to open at the hospital March 2016.  Located in the main entrance of the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, the Boots outpatient pharmacy will open from 9am-6pm Monday to Friday and 9am-12noon on Saturday. 

Both parties are working closely together to ensure a smooth transition for patients.  The partnership will allow for all patients to receive a pharmacy service from dedicated pharmacy teams, giving the highest care and quality in a growing and challenging NHS.

Jacqui Bowden, Chief Pharmacist at RBCH said: “Teaming up with Boots will ensure that outpatients will have a shorter wait for their medicines to be dispensed.  There will be a range of over the counter medicines and retail products that outpatients, visitors and staff may buy.  This development will allow the hospital team to focus on providing a high quality service for patients on the wards and when they are discharged.”
