- Claire will be the first female Superintendent Pharmacist in Boots’ history
Boots has announced the promotion of Claire Nevinson to the role of Superintendent Pharmacist.
Claire has been with Boots for 26 years in a variety of roles, having worked as Deputy Superintendent – Prescribing and Innovation for the past two years.
Marc Donovan will now fully assume his new role as Director of Healthcare Development and Public Affairs. Marc and Claire will both report into Jamie Kerruish, Director of Healthcare.
Jamie Kerruish said: “The Superintendent Pharmacist role is an essential and iconic position within Boots, and I feel very lucky to be able to ask Claire to take it on. Her impressive work as Deputy Superintendent has prepared her brilliantly for her new responsibilities and I have every confidence in her ability to lead our pharmacy team members as community pharmacy plays an ever-greater role in primary care.”
Claire Nevinson said: “It is an honour and a privilege to be appointed as Superintendent Pharmacist for Boots and I look forward to the important work that lies ahead. Our pharmacy teams work hard to provide exceptional care to patients every day in their communities and I am incredibly proud to represent them in my new role.”
As Boots Superintendent Pharmacist, Claire is responsible for all matters relating to patient safety and the implementation of the procedures and operations that are both respected across the pharmacy sector and underpin Boots as a provider of expert health care. She also provides professional leadership to all Boots pharmacists and their teams.
