Boots UK partners with the Hygiene Bank and Fareshare to distribute thousands of toiletries to NHS frontline workers and vulnerable people across UK

  • Working in partnership with FareShare and The Hygiene Bank, bathroom essentials will be distributed to schools and food banks

Boots UK and The Hygiene Bank are helping to support the NHS staff working on the front line in hospitals across the UK with a donation of over 200,000 toiletries. With the distribution support of FareShare, thousands of essential toiletries will be available, including hand cream, toothpaste and shower gel, to help frontline workers have access to hygiene essentials and vital wash stations between busy shifts.

Using FareShare’s established network, toiletries will also be sent directly to local charities to distribute where they are needed in the community and to the vulnerable who are now in more need than ever of hygiene essentials.

Alyson Walsh, Commercial Director of FareShare said: ‘We are delighted to be able to mobilise our national charity redistribution network to get this brilliant donation from Boots out to NHS staff and community groups and to show our support for them.

Donations will include shower gel, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner as well as hand and body lotions from brands such as No7 and Soap & Glory to help soothe hard working hands. The Hygiene Bank is currently unable to accept product donations from the public, but as charitable donations are now needed more than ever, monetary donations towards funding can be made online to support people in hygiene poverty in the UK at https://thehygienebank.com/donating/single-donation/.
