This National Recycle Week, we’re thrilled to have joined forces with WRAP for their annual Recycle Now campaign, and celebrate how Boots customers have been giving their empties a new lease of life through Recycle at Boots – one of the UK’s largest brand-agnostic beauty recycle schemes.
Since launching in 2020, we’re delighted to share that our customers’ sustainability efforts have been paying off:
- Almost 15 million beauty, health, wellness and dental products that can’t be recycled at home have now been deposited through the scheme
- Which has diverted 675 tonnes of plastic from landfill.
- All of which has been repurposed into packaging pellets, MyBoard or furniture that’s donated through the MyGroup SchoolCycled scheme.
This is a massive milestone for the Recycle at Boots scheme, and it’s fantastic to see so many shoppers choosing Boots to help them be more sustainable – and get rewarded in the process.
But… how can you recycle more of the right things, more often?
- Turn your empties into opportunities: Click here to start your Recycle at Boots journey today and get rewarded too with 500 Boots Advantage Card points for every five hard to recycle empties deposited*
- Reduce your waste: discover our blister pack recycling scheme, our PenCycle and Recycle your Electricals drop-off points, and our Boots Opticians Contact Lens Recycling programme
- Did you know that Toothpaste Tubes can now largely be recycled at your kerbside collection? Brands including Colgate, Sensodyne, Corsodyl and Aquafresh have redeveloped their packaging into a high-density plastic which can be more easily recycled. Check if your local authority collects tubes via the Recycle Now Locator.
