Wednesday 11 January: Boots has unveiled an exciting new look for its St Albans store, after a contemporary refurbishment to update and modernise the store. Located on St Peters Street, the store has been completely transformed and redesigned to create the very best shopping experience, with a host of new brands for customers to enjoy.
Featuring a new extensive beauty hall with exciting new premium beauty brands - including Chanel, Dior, Mac, Fenty Beauty, Kylie Cosmetics, Too Faced and IT Cosmetics - a reinvented healthcare area, and a new Boots Opticians and Boots Hearingcare space, the store looks and feels brand-new.
The first floor has been transformed to offer a dedicated healthcare area, with the pharmacy, Boots Opticians and Boots Hearingcare all together on the same floor. St Albans is one of the first Boots stores to feature a new open and state-of-the-art healthcare space, designed to make it easier for customers to access healthcare advice and discover appropriate products to support their health.
As well as a large selection of healthcare products, the first floor also offers a range of pharmacy services both NHS and private, including vaccination services, free NHS blood pressure check service, and much more.
Drew Beames, Area Manager at Boots, said: “We are delighted to finally unveil our newest refurbished store to our local St Albans community. The store is full of exciting beauty brands, expert healthcare advice and services, as well as state-of-the-art Boots Opticians and Boots Hearingcare facilities. We can’t wait to welcome the people of St Albans to experience the very best that this store has to offer.”
To officially re-open the refurbished store, the Mayor of St Albans Councillor Geoff Harrison attended a ribbon cutting ceremony. The store also hosted a special launch party to celebrate its transformation, with the first 50 customers receiving a special goody bag full of Boots products.
The newly refurbished Boots Opticians now offers a range of premium designer brands including Tom Ford, Saint Laurent and Gucci, as well as stylish own brand and sustainable ranges. As well as NHS and private eye tests, contact lens aftercare, and free contact lens fitting and trials, Boots Opticians customers can benefit from OCT eye scans, a cutting edge, non-invasive tool which allows the Optician to see what’s going on under the surface of the eye. The scan takes a couple of minutes and can help to detect underlying conditions such as glaucoma before any symptoms occur.
The St Albans store also has a Boots World of Hearing concept store – a new immersive experience offering the latest in hearing care designed to ensure that everyone has access to the best hearing health. This Hearingcare space is the third Boots World of Hearing store to open in the UK and first to open inside a Boots store. Boots Hearingcare customers can access an expert team of audiologists offering free hearing checks who can provide advanced solutions for hearing loss.
Free hearing checks can be booked online at bootshearingcare.com.
