Boots Opticians, rated the UK’s favourite opticians1, has teamed up with TV personality and style icon, Olivia Attwood, to create a curated selection of glasses and sunglasses. Known for her bold and stylish frame choices, Olivia has partnered with Boots Opticians to help customers feel confident in choosing the eyewear most suited to them.

Research from the high-street optician shows that those surveyed consider glasses as a major fashion moment, as 40%2 of people consider glasses a more important fashion staple than shoes or handbags. However, glasses wearers still lack confidence when choosing frames, as 46% of adults surveyed say they don’t know what shape or colour glasses suit them, and 51% are worried they’ll choose the wrong pair.

On a mission to help the nation feel more empowered with their choices, and in charge of their personal style, Olivia Attwood has handpicked six of her favourite frames to curate "Olivia’s Style Picks”. Her fashion-forward selection contains both optical and sunglasses frames in a range of contemporary brands designed to inspire shoppers to embrace their individuality and experiment. Olivia’s picks include trending styles such as fresh metallic wire frames from Gucci – a huge trend for 2025, classic black square lenses from Saint Laurent, and iconic cat-eye sunglasses from All Saints.

TV personality and style inspiration, Olivia Attwood, said: “Glasses are the ultimate fashion statement and often one of the first things people notice. I love mixing and matching my frames to enhance different outfits. That’s why I’m so excited to be working with Boots Opticians - to help people find the perfect frames for them, and for people to enjoy wearing glasses as much as I do. I’ve selected six designer frames I genuinely love, each one showing just how versatile and stylish specs can be.”

Over half (52%) of glasses wearers find choosing glasses a daunting experience and 39% of people don't feel confident choosing glasses. To help customers feel more assured in their choices, they can access tailored support and personalised style advice from in-store Eyewear Stylists in every Boots Opticians store – these are team members who can match frames not just to face shape and prescription, but to personal taste, lifestyle and fashion sense.

Jake Lawrence-Barber, Designer Frames Buyer at Boots Opticians, said: “With 100’s of designer and own brand frames to choose from, we have something for everyone at Boots Opticians, whatever your style. We know that for many people, choosing glasses can sometimes feel overwhelming, but we can help you to find frames that you look and feel great in. Just as we worked with Olivia to recommend eyewear to reflect her unique style, we’re here to help you find frames that complement your features and leave you feeling confident in your choice.”

With 51% of people worried about choosing the wrong pair of glasses and 58% looking for expert help, Jake shares his top tips for choosing frame styles:

  1. Figure out your face shape - Knowing your face shape will help you find the most flattering pair of glasses, as certain styles are better suited to certain shapes and can help to complement or accentuate your features.
  2. Don’t be afraid to experiment with styles - go with your instincts and try the frames you’re drawn to. If the options feel overwhelming, start with the first pair that catches your eye and don’t worry if they seem too bold or bright- just try them. Some of my favourite pieces are those unexpected wildcards I never thought I’d choose.
  3. Choose a flattering frame colour - People sometimes look for frames based on their favourite colours, but certain skin tones and hair colours are better suited to some hues. For example, if you’re warm toned, shades like beige, golds and pinks may suit you best. If you’re cool toned, you could try grey, blues and blacks.

Customers can browse Boots Opticians extensive range of styles and designer brands, including the frames from Olivia’s Style Picks, at www.bootsopticians.com and in store.

Eye tests can be booked online and can be upgraded to an Ultimate Eye Test in participating stores. The NHS recommends that all UK adults should have their eyes tested at least every two years as eyes change over time (or as advised by an optometrist).
