Boots has introduced new Wellness Zones into its stores alongside newly trained Health & Wellness Specialists to help customers navigate the wellness category with clarity and confidence.
The launch comes as new research commissioned by Boots reveals a growing demand for wellness, particularly amongst beauty consumers, with 40% seeing wellness as an essential part of their daily beauty routine1. A third of Gen Z (34%) also agree to spending more on wellness in January than in other months2.
A further 62% are also engaged with key wellness areas, feeling like internal factors such as gut health, hormonal balance, or stress management are important determinants of overall skin and hair health3.
The instore Wellness Zones bring together a selection of trusted brands and products into one place with areas for gut health, nutrition, hydration, sleep, movement and beauty-from-within – initially launched in six stores nationwide.*
A new pick and mix style selection of tasters from trending brands such as Humantra, Zooki and DIRTEA is also included, making it easier for customers to sample different tastes and ingredients, after research revealed over half (58%) of Gen Z and millennials make New Year's resolutions related to health or wellbeing4.
In addition, new wellness training has been rolled out to over 500 Health & Wellness Specialists, who will be available in 140 stores nationwide. They are on hand to offer expert advice on popular wellness topics and can make product and lifestyle recommendations based on customer goals.
Kirsty Thorley-Mitchell, Head of Wellness at Boots, said “We know that the world of wellness can feel a little overwhelming and for many it's hard to know where to begin. Our unique training provides education on trends, ingredients and routines so we can help to guide customers on the right products and routines for them. Our new Wellness Zones offer customers the opportunity to access expert and personalised advice from their local high-street, aligning with increased demand from customers, particularly those who are cross-category shopping from health and beauty.”
Customers can also access a wide range of advice, guidance and support on the newly launched Boots Wellness Hub on boots.com. It is home to free, easy-to-access wellness information on topics such as gut health, movement, sleep, beauty, calmness, energy, hormones and focus.
Boots also continues to expand its wellness offering, introducing a further 12 new brands and 140 new products to its line-up, building on the over 750 new wellness lines added in the past year. Included in this latest product drop is Wellthy by Boots, the exclusive new own brand wellness range. Available now both in stores and online, it includes four tasty electrolytes with added ingredients for radiant skin, energy and focus, rest and immune support.
