“During lockdown, so many of our customers told us how much they missed the experience of browsing, testing and shopping beauty at Boots”, says Joanna Rogers, Trading Director and VP of Beauty at Boots.
“We’ve worked meticulously over the past few months to re-introduce the right measures at the right time so everyone can get back to the fun and excitement of discovering new products and finding new brands, while feeling completely safe and reassured.”
Recently named as the safest place to shop on the high street*, here’s everything you need to know about how we’re updating the safety measures in our Beauty Halls across the UK…
Testers
Shoppers will once again be able to test premium makeup on themselves, with disposable applicators dispensed by a beauty advisor or consultant.
For customers eager to find the perfect scent for them - perfume testers are back, with strict hygiene and hand-washing measures overseen by the Boots team.
Makeovers and brows
Those wanting to learn more about masked beauty, can book in with selected premium brands including Clinique, Dior, Urban Decay and IT Cosmetics who will be offering touch makeup services. Slots can be pre-booked in-store and consultants will follow updated safety plans, which include strict PPE guidelines and tool sanitisation. Customers will be required to wear their mask throughout their appointment, in line with safety measures and government guidance.
Boots customers can shop all their favourite beauty brands in confidence. The No7 Match Made service resumes for walk-in shoppers seeking expert colour advice and recommendations. The No7 Match Made technology finds customers perfect colours, shades and finishes for base, blush, bronzer and lips.
Brow services at Benefit including waxing and tinting have also re-started in selected stores, and Boots Beauty Specialists will continue to offer brand-neutral advice and guidance through touch-free consultations.
Make-up Exchange Promise
The Boots Make-Up Exchange Promise - a commitment to exchange makeup that turns out to be the wrong shade - will remain in effect. This will help customers confidently shop in the beauty aisles where they pick out their own products, as testers will remain unavailable for the time being.
Customers can also shop their favourite beauty products on boots.com and collect them from their local store the very next day through the Order & Collect service.
