16 June 2026: Boots is celebrating an extraordinary group of colleagues across the UK who have each reached the milestone of 50 years of service, highlighting decades of dedication to customers, patients and local communities.
This summer, more than 20 long-serving team members from stores across the country joined the prestigious Boots 50 Year Club, recognising their exceptional loyalty and commitment to the company over five decades.
Over the years, they have become trusted and familiar faces in their communities, known for consistently going above and beyond – from everyday moments of care in store to extraordinary acts of kindness, such as supporting vulnerable patients, organising vital medication deliveries and ensuring customers feel supported.
Lisa Cherry, Chief People Office at Boots, said: “Boots is one of the few retailers to have had a presence on high streets for decades, so it’s a true honour that some of our colleagues have spent their entire careers with us, caring for customers and playing an integral role in their communities. Reaching 50 years of service is a truly remarkable achievement and a testament to the impact our colleagues make every single day.”

The Boots 50 Year Club recognises colleagues who have demonstrated exceptional loyalty, dedication and commitment to Boots and its customers over five decades. The group has continued to grow year on year, bringing together long-serving team members from across the UK to celebrate their achievements and share their stories.
Each year, members are invited to a special celebratory event at the home of Boots in Nottingham, where they are recognised for their contribution to the business and the communities they serve. The event is a highlight of the year for Boots, offering colleagues the chance to reflect on their careers, reconnect with others and celebrate an extraordinary milestone.
One of the newest members of the Boots 50 year club, Liz Taylor, Store Manager at Boots Newcastle, said: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my career with Boots over the past 50 years, and it has given me the opportunity to build a good life. I feel incredibly lucky to have met so many wonderful customers and colleagues along the way and I’m proud to have made a difference in people’s lives.”
Gillian Shaw, Assistant Manager at Boots York, said: “Since joining Boots in 1976, I’ve always tried to live by my motto: live life to the fullest, and be full of life for your customers. Whether it’s delivering vital medication or sharing a laugh, it’s those personal connections that mean the most to me.”
Reflecting on what has driven their commitment over five decades, Carol Yeats, Customer Advisor at Boots Western-Super-Mare, said: “Joining Boots opened the door to a whole new chapter in my life, one filled with real joy and opportunity as I learned what it truly means to be part of the Boots team. Over the years, I’ve been lucky to develop my knowledge across so many areas and, most importantly, to build lasting relationships with our wonderful customers.”
