Safe shopping in our stores - a message from Seb James

Feature Brand

Dear customer,

Boots has been at the heart of the High Street for 171 years, and for each one of those years we have been there for communities across the U.K. This has never been truer than in 2020 and as we enter a new phase of lockdown, we will continue to be there; proud to serve our customers and patients, and to support the NHS.

We will keep our stores and pharmacies open throughout the lockdown so that you can access the products that you need, as well as pharmacy services, prescriptions and advice. When you visit us, you will be able to shop the whole store including health, wellness, baby, beauty and everything else that we usually sell.

Our pharmacists and colleagues remain available to give trusted advice and we continue to offer both NHS and private pharmacy services. Hear from our Chief Pharmacist, Marc Donovan here

Customer and colleague safety continues to be our priority and indeed we have been voted the safest retailer on the High Street by consumers. We have very comprehensive Covid safety measures in place so that you shop with peace of mind. For details of your nearest pharmacy or store opening times visit Boots Opticians and Boots Hearingcare also remain open and you can find out more here and here. You can of course also shop with us at

I will finish with two sincere notes of thanks: the first is to our wonderful colleagues, many of whom serve on the front line, supporting our patients, customers and the NHS every day. Their resilience and commitment to our communities during this incredibly challenging time continues to amaze me and I cannot thank them enough. The second is to you, our customers. We have been there for you, and you have been there for us. Thank you for your loyalty; for visiting our pharmacies, for continuing to shop with us and for the kindness that you show our colleagues.

With warm best wishes,

Seb James

Managing Director, Boots UK and ROI
