A new and improved Boots store has opened its doors in the rejuvenated departures lounge at Aberdeen International Airport.
Boots has relocated to a larger unit, double the size of the old store at the airport.
Sylvia Kerr, Aberdeen Airport Store Manager, Boots UK, said: “We are thrilled to be opening our bigger and improved store in Aberdeen Airport. We have been at Aberdeen Airport for 10 years and our new store is double the size of the old store, meaning we can offer customers even more choice of travel, beauty, skincare and healthcare products, along with our ever popular Meal Deal.
“Our new store is located in the updated concourse of the airport, making it even easier for customers to find us. The new store at Aberdeen Airport is just one of a number of new stores to be opened this year by Boots and we look forward to welcoming customers back to the store.”
The updated retail area at the airport also has a new staircase leading down to the lower lounge, with an upgraded passenger lift also installed as part of the upgrade. The exit for arriving domestic passengers has been moved into a prominent position, easily identifiable for those leaving the airport.
Steve Szalay, Managing Director, Aberdeen International Airport said: “We’re proud to welcome our passengers to the new retail area within the departures lounge. Boots has been a loyal retailer with the airport for many years and we hugely welcome their fantastic new store.
The latest developments are the latest in the airport’s £20 million project into rejuvenating the terminal, with further upgrades still to come.
