Global Handwashing Day 2020

15 October 2020
Feature CSR

Today marks Global Handwashing Day - a day dedicated to raising awareness and understanding about the importance of handwashing as an effective way to help prevent the spread of diseases.

As the nation continues to become more aware of the importance of hand hygiene during the COVID-19 pandemic, Marc Donovan shares his expert advice on how to wash your hands effectively:

“Wash your hands well, for at least 20 seconds, with soap and water. If you are out and about and do not have access to clean water and soap, clean your hands with hand sanitiser, remembering to use the same routine. Many people don’t make the link between rubbing hand sanitiser in properly for 20 seconds, like you do when washing your hands!”

“Boots even has a handy infographic that includes all the steps for a thorough hand wash.”
