Rich Corbridge, our Chief Information Officer (CIO) has been recognised as #27 in the CIO 100 Awards. The awards celebrate the most transformational and disruptive CIOs in and from the UK, as they drive transformational change at their organisations.

Joining the business in 2019 as Director of Innovation, Rich delivered our live virtual GP service, in partnership with Livi and has overseen our new partnership with Public Health England providing a personalised health and wellness check-up for our customers. Rich was appointed as CIO earlier this year, leading the IT team as they prepare for a huge year of change in all areas of boots.com, cloud hosting of the web site, new front end capability implemented and the advent of new tools to support marketing, loyalty and delivery. In the last few months, the IT team have ensured stability across all systems despite unprecedented demand and need for capacity.  

We are also pleased to share that this week, David Hobbs, our Transformation Director has been recognised in the Retail Week Tech 100 Awards for his leadership on digital transformation over the past nine months during the COVID-19 crisis. The award also recognises the growth in our online business and commemorates David as he leads our transformation plans into 2021.
