Boots UK is proudly continuing to support NHS workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Working collaboratively with teams across Walgreens Boots Alliance, over 2,000 packs of self-care products have been donated to 20 hospitals across the UK.
This latest donation, which consists of over 17,600 health and beauty products from Boots owned brands, was delivered by the hard-working Alliance Healthcare teams. Making the most of their regular delivery network, these colleagues helped to ensure the essential products reached the hands of those who needed them most.
Fiona Sinclair, Voluntary Services Manager at Gartnavel Royal Hospital, said: “The team were happily surprised and so thankful for the donations. They said how kind it was that they have been thought of. They were lovely gifts after a busy week.”
“I’ve noticed how people in various roles across the country have simply got on with their work in the past few months, and how hard it has been on everyone. Your teams are part of that and I know how grateful I have been every day, when getting off the train at Glasgow Central Station, to see the Boots store open and to be welcomed in by friendly and helpful staff.”
Boots has never been more proud to support the NHS. Back in April, it donated over half a million products to NHS Trusts, hospitals and care homes. A donation of over 100,000 essential toiletries was also set aside for NHS hospital staff, alongside over 5,000 patient recuperation packs.
