Garnier is donating 300,000 bottles of its newly created Pure Active Hand Sanitiser Gel to essential retail staff and pharmacists, including Boots colleagues, working on the frontline.
As an essential retailer, Boots UK stores and pharmacies are remaining open to continue providing customers with essential medicines, healthcare and toiletries during the COVID-19 crisis.
Colleagues have already been provided with important PPE including protective visors, masks, gloves and Perspex screens for counters.
Joanna Rogers, Trading Director and VP, Beauty and Gifting Boots UK said, “I’d like to say a big thank you to Garnier for this kind donation. It will help our colleagues to continue to stay safe while they work at the frontline of healthcare in communities across the UK. The speed that Garnier have brought this product to market is fantastic and our customers will be so pleased to know there is more stock of hand sanitisers heading to our stores in the coming weeks.”
Maya Sfeir, General Manager of Garnier UK, explains: “This move reflects our corporate responsibility to society and also to the nation’s retail staff, giving them the protection that they need in a bid to fight the virus in these unchartered times.”
