Claire O’Reilly, Store Manager of Boots in Dungannon, comments: “The team here in Dungannon have been an integral part of the community for many years. With our modernised and improved store we really feel that we can make a greater difference to the community, customers and patients in Dungannon not only from a pharmacy, healthcare and beauty perspective, but also by offering community engagement and convenience on the high street like never before. There are many innovative aspects of this store that I am very excited about, including the new broad range of beauty and perfume brands, but in particular the integrated healthcare area, which I believe will help us meet the needs of our patients and customers today and in the future.”
Claire with the store team, Anne Higgins, Head of Customer Experience for Northern Ireland, Janine Barker, Area Manager and Marco Pagni, Executive Vice President, Global Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel of Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc, who is originally from Dungannon and officially cut the ribbon
Health Minister Michelle O’Neill said: “I would like to congratulate all those involved in the refit of the Boots Pharmacy in Dungannon which will provide a modern and welcoming environment for the local people who already use their excellent services. Community pharmacies are an important, accessible health resource at the heart of our communities, dispensing approximately 40 million prescription items a year. They provide valuable advice and information about medicines and healthy lifestyles and help support self care and prevention. I welcome the work that has been undertaken by Boots to improve access for their patients within the Dungannon and wider rural area.”
The interior of the store has been completely redesigned to offer an impressive, modern beauty space with a large perfume area, including significantly more brands and choices and self-selection branded cosmetics. This store also offers the Boots Order & Collect service, offering the entire Boots UK range, including luxury beauty brands available right in the heart of Dungannon.
Making a real difference to the Dungannon community is a passion of the store team In particular, by celebrating local partnerships and promoting upcoming fundraising and in-store charity events for example for BBC Children in Need and Macmillan Cancer Support.
