To help the UK live well in 2020, Boots is launching over 40 new wellness brands and 250 new products on shelves and online adding to the 1,800+ wellness products customers can already find. Covering everything from vitamins to supplements, healthy food choices and products to support a more sustainable lifestyle to help you feel great. This includes brands fresh from the US such as Evolution_18, stocked exclusively at Boots, and SugarBearHair as well as the new Boots Gut Health range and My Vegan, a range of high quality, vegan protein products.
A first on the UK high street, Boots has created an own brand range of comprehensive adaptogen powders, with the herbs, roots, mushrooms and fruits which based on ancient beliefs are thought to help the body to ‘adapt’ in order to take on daily physical and emotional life pressures. The range of powders includes ashwagandha, turmeric, moringa, maca, reishi and chaga and has just launched in store and online.
2020 is proving to be the year that more and more of us are trying to add plant-based meals to our diets. Boots increased its vegan product range by 30% this year to respond to customer demand and – has already seen spikes in sales of vegan sandwiches by 27% year on year[i] with sales of the entire vegan food range also seeing a positive increase by 44%.
To help those wanting to make a difference, Boots has recently launched a ‘sustainability toiletry edit’ in 138 stores and online, with over 60 new toiletry products from brands including eco-friendly sanitary protection from DAME, bamboo toothbrushes from Humble and natural deodorant sticks from Salt of the Earth.
To make sure that price is not a barrier for customers, nutrition products are available for less than £1 a day and vitamins are offered from 4p a day.
Newly appointed Director of Wellness at Boots UK, Sarah Crawley, says: “We have listened to our customers to understand how they feel about wellness, what they’re looking for and how we can help them. We’ve identified some of the biggest unmet needs around mental health, anxiety, sleep, gut health and weight management, all of which will be a huge focus for us in 2020 and we are kick starting the year with advice and tips on these topics alongside some amazing product launches to help address these needs. Our ambition is to be the market leader in wellness, helping the nation live happy and healthy lives.”
