Boots was delighted to host Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak today at its head office in Nottingham, where hundreds of team members had a chance to hear more from the Chancellor and ask him questions.
The visit was organised by HM Treasury as part of a series of events it runs to connect with people across the UK, focussing particularly on Industry
As part of the event, the Chancellor hosted a Q&A session, where 50 Boots Team Members from its stores, pharmacies, warehouses and support office could ask a series of quick fire questions around Government funding. Topics covered included the chancellors view on working from home becoming a permanent fixture, how the Government is addressing the impact on high street/city centre shopping, and what more is being done to support families dealing with cost of living pressures.
After the Q&A event, the Chancellor sat down to meet six of the 60 young people who joined Boots on the Kickstart scheme, and visited one of Boots high street stores in Beeston where he spoke to a Boots Pharmacist about the role that pharmacists play in providing healthcare in the community in support of the NHS.
