ED is a common condition, particularly in men over 40. Most men occasionally fail to get or keep an erection from time to time, usually caused by stress, tiredness, anxiety or drinking too much alcohol. Erectile problems can also be due to conditions like cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure and diabetes.  

Medicines containing sildenafil are often used to treat erectile dysfunction.
