Boots is proud to have become a Superbrand, following a rigorous judging process by the Superbrands® panel.
Achieving Superbrands status is a considerable accolade. According to research from Nielson, 74% of consumers who recognised the Superbrands name claimed to be more likely or much more likely to buy the products or services with a Superbrands Award Seal.
Boots was judged to be a Superbrand based on its market reach, product range and service innovation. The power of and trust in the Boots brand also had a role to plan, because of the power and trust in the Boots brand alongside its work in supporting the UK’s response to COVID-19.
During the pandemic, Boots has supported the NHS to administer COVID-19 vaccinations and testing. As an essential retailer, its stores have remained open throughout and its pharmacies have provided essential healthcare through free, appointment-free consultations.
Pete Markey, Chief Marketing Officer at Boots, said: “The Boots brand continues to go from strength to strength and this Superbrands accolade is further evidence of this. Our brand trust scores have increased during the pandemic as a result of our role in helping the UK to get through it. In recent months, we’ve invested massively to drive reappraisal of our brand as number one for health and beauty in the UK and we will continue to do that as we move into the New Year.”
In 2021, Boots was also voted The Sunday Times Style Beauty Awards winner for Best Beauty Retailer in 2021, for the fourth year in a row. It was also voted Best Retailer at the Fabulous Beauty Awards. Boots Ingredients was runner-up in the Best High Street Skincare Brand category.
