Boots Soltan launch revolutionary UV Detection Stickers for children

Designed to give parents peace of mind, Soltan Kids Learn to Reapply UV Detection Stickers are the latest innovation to come from Soltan. The ground-breaking stickers are formulated with new ‘skin mimicking technology’ that change colour when you need to reapply sunscreen to your children - helping to remove the guesswork for families looking to enjoy worry-free fun in the sun. 

Knowing when to reapply sunscreen has long been an area of concern for parents. In fact, recent research conducted by Soltan, the UK’s leading 5* UVA protection sun care brand, found that a huge 85% of parents worry about their child getting sun damage[1]. These stickers will be invaluable in encouraging sun safe behavior and helping parents be aware of when children are protected.

The stickers utilise innovative dermatrue™ ’skin mimicking technology’, which has been scientifically developed to mimic the skins pore size, so it can accurately copy how your skin interacts with SPF protection. The signal to reapply is triggered by an underlying UV detection layer, which measures the UVA & UVB exposure using photosensitive dyes.

Dermatologist and paediatrician approved, the patches are waterproof, sweat resistant, hypoallergenic and adhere like a second skin to ensure they last for a full day of outdoor play. Each pack of Soltan Kids Learn to Reapply UV Detection Stickers contains 8 stickers, and with each sticker designed to last all day, one pack equates to more than one week’s supply.
