Boots has many great leaders in the business led by Steve Duncan and Alex Gourlay.
Steve Duncan, Executive Director of Alliance Boots and Executive Chairman Boots
Steve Duncan was appointed Executive Chairman, Health & Beauty in July 2007 having previously been Community Pharmacy Director. Prior to the merger of Alliance UniChem and Boots Group he was the Executive Director of Alliance UniChem responsible for its retail division. Before that Steve was Managing Director of Alliance Pharmacy, having joined the business in 1974. He is a pharmacist and a Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
Alex Gourlay, Managing Director
Alex Gourlay was appointed Managing Director of Boots in July 2007. Before that he was Healthcare Director for Boots The Chemists, having previously held senior management positions in store operations and human resources. Alex joined Boots 27 years ago as a pharmacist.
